What can I do if I've lost access to the email I signed up with?

The following steps will help you recover your Instagram account.

To recover your account, you will need to report it as Hacked. It is the only way that Instagram can help you currently. Here's to how. (Please carefully follow the instructions below).

1. You need to use your mobile device. (In 2016, this option was available in the PC too. It's no longer working there).

2. We assume that you removed your linked email by mistake. Now. You Need To:

Type in your Username or Email or Phone Number.
Do NOT include the password. Don't!
Click on the option Get help signing. This option is just below the login blue bar. You will be directed to a page like this one below.

3. This page will no help you either. Now click the 'Need more help?' link just under the Send Login Link. You will be redirected to a page like this one below.

4. Fill this page carefully with your details. On the option Contact email (if different), make sure you put an email that you will be able to access. It may not be the one you first used when signing up for the account.

5. Indicate that your account was hacked.

6. Any additional details? - Explain what happened to your account. Example.

I accidentally removed my email from this Instagram account. When I try to login, it displays that I need to reset a password, but the option will not help since my email is removed. I tried the forgot password option, it's still not working. Please help.

7. Submit. You will receive a message within few minutes (usually 0 to 10 minutes). The email comes with instructions. They usually want you to write your username on paper, then take a selfie with a unique code that they will have sent you in the email. Email usually look like this picture below.
